Sent from Next Door

Unfair: the ladies have a bonsai in their toilet in the Zus Coffee outlet in Mersing!

Today we are Containerised

Making use of a long weekend, we headed up to Kuala Kubu Baru where we explored the town first, finding what could be the best pork chop in the country, before we settled into the Sarang by the Brook. Occupying room number 8, we had the terrace which we converted into a BBQ platform. This was our first time staying in a container hotel and I would say: not bad! These rooms are, by the nature of the container, small, but very comfy.

Set amidst trees, the place is nicely cooling. Sarang by the Brook offers a communal kitchen and guests can mix and mingle in the shared space. Just a short walk away from the town, this would be a perfect hideout for young families or gatherings with friends in a rather informal setting. A lot of thinking has gone into making this a spot where one can unwind and relax. It helps that there is no noise from traffic (also good if one would want to bring children)

Having thoroughly tested the place, we are planning to come back for another BBQ with the family. This time, we plan to spend some more time at the nearby hot spring.
